I spend a lot of my free time browsing the web for interesting recipes. I particularly like the site Tasty… always some good ideas! Like this one:
Prep Day #25 – Coq au Vin
We were on vacation for the week and took some time to go back home to spend time with family and celebrate Thanksgiving. We had decided to make duck this year and some veggies. I ended up making a salad that was simply amazing. It contained spinach, lettuce, peppers, red onions, apple slices, dried cranberries, nuts, feta cheese and an homemade apple cider vinegar honey dressing that simply made you Thankful for this meal! I’ll make it again and will share with you in my Flash Recipe section.
This week, with travelling to our hometown and celebrating our 3rd Wedding Anniversary (we went out to eat at our favorite pizza place, Chez Carl), I did not spend a lot of time in my kitchen. I was looking forward to spending part of the day cooking. I also noticed that this would be Prep Day #25! In celebration of this 25th prep day, I decided to make something with wine. During my prep day, I try to have 2 different choices for our weekly lunches. This week, I did a Chinese Macaroni (always easy to heat up) and a tortellini soup. This soup is full of veggies and the tortellini’s makes it a full meal!
Prep Day #23 – Pizza Casserole
Who doesn’t love pizza? So many topping choices, savory sauce and bubbly cheese… oh pizza! Think or thin crust, pizza is the #1 food selection for parties and when receiving to watch the game. It is good hot or cold. Oh yes, pizza!
Prep Day #22 – Chicken Stew… just like Mom used to make!
We all have a meal that remind us of Home. Not only because your Mom used to make it, but also because it is a traditional meal you can find in your Hometown. The type of meal that can be made in large batch to serve a crowd or simply to feed your family. Chicken Stew is exactly all of the above!

Prep Day #21 – Beef Bourguignon
Oh my, I wish you could smell my Kitchen right now! This Beef Bourguignon simmered in the oven for almost 4 hours. This type of meal is the reason why my Son looks forward to going back to school. Why? It makes a great left over in lunches
