With life rolling at full speed, it’s easy to turn to sugar filled snacks simply because they are at hands reach. We are trying to cut down on refined sugar and it’s easier said than done! So, to keep our hands away from the pre-packed snacks, I decided to make my own.
Spring means that bugs will soon come out outside. It also means that a lot of health bugs are going around! For me, since 2018 started, I had the sniffles, a full blown cold with the chills and fever and this past Friday, a stomach bug! I had every possible bug that went around… I should be immune for the rest of the year. My stomach felt out of it most of the weekend, so this calls for a nice Chicken Noodle Soup… from scratch!
I can hear you now; ”what, no recipe today?”… my week didn’t go quite as planned and when going round table on what the family wanted, nothing new popped for suggestion… bummer! Also, I got my new kitchen gadget that kept me occupied in the kitchen. I’ll try out a few recipes with my new veggie spiralizer before I share with you guys… so far though, I love it!
For tonight’s meal I am making my famous One Pan Chicken that I shared on Prep Day #2. In this recipe, I always add Brussels Sprouts. Every time I share this recipe, I always get the ”Ewww, Brussels Sprouts!”… why is that? Let’s find out!
Crock-pots are wonderful! You can throw a whole bunch of things in it and forget about it… at the end of it all, you’ll get a wonderful meal. That is what I did for these meatballs that are served up stew style!
Making a tasty meal should not cause you to break the bank! The important thing is what can be found in your pantry… and your fridge. My family loves steak. However, steaks can get expensive depending on the type of cut you purchase. Let’s be honest, I will not spend a huge load of money on steak this time year. Why? Simple, I’ll have to cook it inside (our trusted Weber is still away because of the snow) and it’s just not the same! I can make though a very tasty minute steak that will also look amazing plated!
There is less than 30 days left until Spring arrives. If you are like me, you are looking forward to the birds chirping and the warmer weather. In my household, Spring also means that soup season is over. While we still have the chance, why not indulge ourselves in a warm, meat filled soup!
