Prep Day #45 – For the love of Stromboli!

Pizza is always a family pleasure.  Everyone can get their craving fix with the different  topping option.  I love using Pizza sauce in other things than just Pizza dough, like my casserole!  You can also use the dough and transform the Pizza in calzones.  These are fun to make and everyone get’s their individual share.  You can also prepare them ahead of time and freeze them for a later meal.  However, tonight, I felt like making something we could share!  The main course would be displayed as the table center, and we could just serve ourselves…  I know, I’ll make a Stromboli!

Prep Day #44 – Who needs salad?

Back to work after a week vacation was brutal!  My email looked like I was gone for a month.  That’s what happen when you leave responsibilities to have fun… in the end it’s all worth it!  So now, trying to get back into the routine of things.  A few things through off my regular summer routine.  For starters, my Son is taking summer classes this year… and our Weber charcoal decided that grilling was out of the question (we ordered a new one)!  I better get my thinking cap on to get quick, easy meals that will not warm up the house… it’s summer after all!

Prep Day #43 – Lasagna Rolls

Is it just me or we often end up with left over boxes of pasta? There isn’t enough to make a meal so we are stuck having to get another box –and the circle begins again!  For pasta like spaghetti or macaroni, it’s not as problematic since it is the most common pasta we use.  What about lasagna noodles though?  I always end up with not enough left to make another lasagna.  Who said that lasagna noodles should only be used for staking?  Let’s ROLL!

Prep Day #41 – Stuffed Chicken

IT’S SPRING!!!  Finally… it seemed like it would never arrive.  Usually, Sunday is reserve for prepping and prepping only!  Since it was so nice outside, I decided to wash my windows (outside and inside) and put my screens in so we can  enjoy some fresh air!  The guys were taking down the temporary tempo garage.  It was a very busy Sunday!  With all that work, this calls for a hot, fulfilling meal… why not stuff chicken with some good stuff!
