Food and friends… life doesn’t get much better than this! Every year, when the nice weather has finally arrived, my husband and neighbors join forces to get the front yard cleared of the evidence that Winter was here. While they work up a sweat, I get busy in the kitchen to prepare a meal to share with them.

For as long I can remember, Mom has always been involved in the family gatherings. If the event was not at our house, she would be in the kitchen where the event would be held. Any event is a good event to be with family. Some of the family traditions were born out of these events.

My Mom always told me; ”If you are entertaining guests, cook for more than the people you are receiving! Worst thing is leaving your guests hungry”. Every time I am receiving, it’s like my Mom is with me because I always end up making more then expected!
