New Year = New You!? New Year = New Resolution? Why not say, New Year = New Opportunities! It’s a chance to start something you’ve been putting off and take your life into your hands. For me (and I could even say us), it was to improve the way we eat and to try to get anything processed out of the house! How is this possible? We go to the store and it appears that everything that is available is in some way, shape or form, processed! I did a lot of reading and research on how we could minimize processed food and eat cleaner… and I will share the results I came up with!

Burgers… lentil style!
Who says that burgers can only be made with meat? Some people like them better with meat… on my end, I don’t mind a vegetarian style burger once in a while. As long that it is not made with a bunch of ingredients I can’t name! It has to be fresh and tasty; so I created my own using red lentil.
Cream of Tomato & Basil
It happens on occasion that I have left over veggies in my fridge. Usually, I will either make a big vegetable soup or roast them with chicken , depending on the type of vegetables. This week, I had a bunch of tomatoes left over and I had no idea what to make with them. Then it hit me, I got this brand new blender for my birthday… why not roast them with garlic & basil and pop them in the blender to make a creamy soup!
