When we are young, we keep asking Mom everything. Mom this, Mom that! But what about the Father’s in our lives? I was blessed to have wonderful, dedicated Parents. Even though I have a special bond with my Mom, there is something special in the bond between a Daughter and her Father!
My Father thought me everything I know… outside of the Kitchen! He is the reason why I know how to mow the lawn all the way on how to check the oil in the engine of a car.
He was tough, but fair. He didn’t say much but when he did, it was heartfelt and had meaning. My Father is the reason why I became the strong, independent woman I am today.
On this Sunday… let’s take a moment and honor every type of Dad out there: biological Fathers, Fathers to-be, adoptive Fathers, Grandfathers, Step Fathers (Happy Father’s day to my Husband. I couldn’t have asked for a better Step Father for our kids), Father-in-laws and any man out there who loves a child like it was their own.
Any man can be a Father, but it takes a special man to call ”Daddy”! To all Daddy’s out there… Happy Father’s Day!
