Nothing is more versatile than a potato. You can have it baked, mashed, roasted, scalloped and lets not forget french fries. They can even be eaten in salad form. Let’s face it, potatoes do make a great side dish to any meal. How about we turn the potato into the main dish of our meal?
A journey to self discovery
Just before my 40th birthday, I took some time to reflect on my life. I embarked on a journey to self discovery. With each day that passes, I am more and more at peace with myself and learning to listen to my inner voice. A few weeks before turning 40, I shared this with the world!
A Father…
When we are young, we keep asking Mom everything. Mom this, Mom that! But what about the Father’s in our lives? I was blessed to have wonderful, dedicated Parents. Even though I have a special bond with my Mom, there is something special in the bond between a Daughter and her Father!
Prep Day #13 – Stroganoff Meatballs
It’s always nice to come home after a hard day at work and only have to heat up the main meal. It is also nice to have some left overs for later in the week.
This week, I am sharing with you a main dish that can be served 2 ways… one prep, twice the fun!
Milestones… Life is full of them!
We remember how it was growing up… every life event was a milestone. Some of these milestones we don’t remember (our first steps for example), but our parents sure do. Others are linked to personal experiences, like a first kiss (parents will not necessarly know this one)! Then you have these milestones that are celebrated by everyone… like finishing High School!
Prep Day #12 – Spring Rolls
Food is getting more and more expensive. We try to get creative with our meals in order not to brake the bank. Have you ever noticed that we always end up with left over veggies? You don’t have quite enough to make a side dish and you don’t really feel like making veggie soup (it’s Summer after all). Why not turn these veggies into spring rolls?
