A mother… we all have one!
When we are young, we don’t quite understand the dept of a Mother’s love. All we know is that she is the one providing food when we are hungry. She must love us because the minute we cry, she is there to comfort… or feed us!
As we get older and meet different milestones, her love for us doesn’t change… it evolves. Even though she doesn’t show it, she is proud but sad at the same time that we are about to embark into another world when school start. She just hopes that she has raised us to remain civilized (and polite) without her there. Until now, she was our world!
Then, we get to that age where it is almost embarrassing to be seen with her! Like your Mom will kill your ”groove” if you are seen walking next to her while at the store. You hope you will not run into anyone from school…
Eventually, you grow up… leave the house and before you know it, you are, yourself, a Mother.
You then realize everything your made your Mom go through. It is when you realize that you probably made her cry on occasion… even if you never saw it. You realize that even though you are grown up, you will always be your Mother’s little boy or girl… and that she is the best Grandmother any child could ask for!
On this Sunday… let’s take a moment and honor every type of Mom out there: biological Mothers, Mothers to-be, adoptive Mothers, fur Mothers (yes, I have cats so I totally get it), Grandmothers, Step Mothers ( you do have a very important role in helping raise our kids), Mother-in-laws and any woman out there who loves a child like it was their own.
To all the Mother’s out there… Happy Mother’s Day!
